HYC flags clash of govt exams’ schedule in EJH

JOWAI, July 29: Members of the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) East Jaintia Hills District met the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Jaintia Hills, Shivansh Awasthi, on Monday to request the postponement of an examination date due to a scheduling conflict between two government examinations.
The HYC East Jaintia Hills representatives highlighted that the National Ayush Mission Examination is scheduled to be held on August 3, at Jaintia Eastern College, Khliehriat. This examination was announced in a notification issued by the District Medical & Health Officer, East Jaintia Hills, dated July 25, 2024.
On the same day, the Director of Health Services (MI), Shillong, is conducting another examination in Shillong, creating a conflict for candidates wishing to appear for both exams.
The HYC members urged the East Jaintia Hills DC to ensure that candidates have the opportunity to attend both examinations without any clash.
