Kartik Aaryan, director Kabir Khan to celebrate ‘Chandu Champion’ at IFFM 2024

Shillong, August 7: Actor Kartik Aaryan and filmmaker Kabir Khan are all set to celebrate their latest film “Chandu Champion” at the 15th edition of The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).

 

The celebration will include a special “fan interactive session” featuring Kartik and Kabir. The actor-filmmaker duo will be talking to a live audience about “Chandu Champion”, on August 17.

 

In the session, the two will be talking about the making of the sports biopic. They will share insights into the creative process, the challenges faced, and the extraordinary dedication required to bring the story of Murlikant Petkar to life, read a statement.

 

Released in June 2024, “Chandu Champion” traces the journey of India’s first Paralympics gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar.

 

This will be the second time Kartik will be making an appearance in the festival, which will commence on August 15. He first made an appearance in 2023 as the Rising Global Indian Superstar of Indian Cinema.

 

Festival director Mitu Bhowmick Lange said in a statement: “Their collaboration on ‘Chandu Champion’ has set a new standard for sports biopics, inspiring audiences with its powerful narrative and exceptional performance that Kartik has given.”

 

“I’m certain that this special interactive session with a live audience will be a highlight of the festival, giving fans and film enthusiasts a rare chance to delve into the creative journey of two of India’s most talented artists,” Lange added.

 

It was recently announced that Bollywood personalities Vikrant Massey, Rasika Dugal, and Adarsh Gourav will represent the young voices of Indian cinema at the The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024. (IANS)
