Children perform with a band at a cultural evening and prize distribution ceremony organised by ‘Meghmallar’, a cultural organisation of Shillong, at Laban Assamese Girls Higher Secondary School, on Saturday. Tributes were also paid to Bihu Samrat (Late) Khagen Mahanta, father of Angarag ‘Papon’ Mahanta. The singing and dance competitions were organised in his memory. Local MLA Sanbor Shullai was the chief guest.
