BSF, police nab Indian national with liquor consignment

SHILLONG, Aug 24: BSF Meghalaya troops, in collaboration with Meghalaya Police, on Friday apprehended one Indian national along with liquor, which was reportedly intended for smuggling, near the Indo-Bangladesh border in East Khasi Hills.
According to a statement here, the BSF, during the operation, intercepted an Alto car near the Pynursla Tri-Junction, which was laden with various brands of liquor.
After failing to produce valid documents for the consignment of liquor, the driver was apprehended.
Meanwhile, the apprehended individual, along with the vehicle and seized items, has been handed over to Pynursla Police Station for further investigation and legal action.
