Delhi Speaker calls on his Meghalaya counterpart

SHILLONG, Aug 27: Speaker of the Delhi Assembly visited Thomas A Sangma, Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, at his office on Tuesday.
Goel was accompanied by his wife and was welcomed by Deputy Speaker Timothy D Shira and Cabinet Minister AL Hek.
Goel, who has served as the Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly twice, in 2015 and 2020, held discussions with Sangma on various matters related to the legislative assemblies of the two states.
The visit aimed to strengthen the bond between the legislative bodies of Meghalaya and Delhi.
