KHLIEHRIAT, Aug 28: The death of noted lawyer cum activist Kynjaimon Amse in a road mishap on August 23, has taken a new turn with the deceased’s uncle lodging an FIR into the “suspicious” death of his nephew and demanding a thorough investigation into the incident.
Lalan S Amse, uncle of the deceased, filed an FIR at Khliehriat police station on Monday raising doubts over the circumstances of his death in the road accident at Dkhiah village in East Jaintia Hills on August 23.
The FIR states that the side of the vehicle where Amse was sitting had sustained minimal damage and could not have led to his death on the spot.
According to the FIR, Lalan received a phone call from Suni Pdang at about 2 am stating that Amse had met with an accident when he was travelling in a car driven by Fullmoon Nongtdu of Khliehriat, along with two others occupants – Raja L Suchen and Small Lamin.
