MCA picks squad & standbys for BCCI U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy

Shillong, Sep 10: The Junior Girls Selection Committee of the Meghalaya Cricket Association has selected 15 players and five standbys to represent the state at the forthcoming BCCI U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy.
Meghalaya have been grouped with Uttarakhand, Hyderabad, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala and Punjab. All of Meghalaya’s matches, from 1 to 8 October, will be played in Rajkot, Gujarat.
The state preparatory camp is being held at the Alotgre Ground in Tura. Only the final 15-member squad will travel to Rajkot; the departure date will be notified by the MCA in due course. The support staff for this tournament comprise Leonard Wankhar (head coach), Laxman Chettri (assistant coach), Helyna Sangma (trainer), Lucky Mary Marbaniang (physio) and Raju D Sangma (manager).
The Meghalaya Cricket Association has placed its trust in a young and promising squad as they gear up for the BCCI U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy. With a challenging group, the preparatory camp in Tura will be crucial for fine-tuning their skills.
As the final squad readies itself for Rajkot, the team will look to make the most of their training under an experienced support staff. This tournament presents an opportunity for Meghalaya’s young talents to showcase their potential on a national stage and bring pride to the state.
