SHILLONG, Sep 17: The Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM) has elected Moonroy G Momin as its new president during the general central executive meeting held at Dobasipara Secondary School, Tura, West Garo Hills.
The meeting, held on September 14, discussed the sudden resignation of Diningroy Marwein, former president.
“We elected the new president after the meeting decided to accept the resignation letter of Marwein following a threadbare discussion,” FASTOM publicity secretary, EG War, said in a statement.
War added that they have elected former president (Marwein) as the new chief adviser of the body.
