NE Conclave
The office of the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS) in partnership with the Nudge Institute will organise the ‘North-East Conclave 2024 for Strengthening Ecosystem for Inclusive Development of the Most Excluded’ at Courtyard by Marriot in Shillong on Friday.

Roundtable
The ‘FICCI Roundtable for North East Region for making Cancer Care Affordable and Accessible in India’ will be held on Friday from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.

Training course
A five-day-long training course on ‘Quality Control of Bio-Fertilizer and Organic Fertilizer’ will be conducted by the Regional Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (RCONF), Imphal, at the State Biological Control Laboratory, Upper Shillong, from September 24 to 28.

Unclaimed body
The body of an unknown male who was found lying at Umkaliar road and subsequently shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong, has been kept at the hospital for identification and claim. Information was received at Rynjah PS from Nongmensong OP that the man was found at the spot on September 19. After being admitted, the man passed away later that very day. It was also learnt that the deceased was homeless, and slept on the roadside near CWE office around Umkaliar. Accordingly, inquest and other legal formalities were observed. The deceased, approximately 35-40 years, was found wearing a black jacket and grey pant.
