SHILLONG, Oct 17: Pynthorumkhrah MLA AL Hek, on Thursday reviewed the repair work on the deteriorating road conditions in several areas of his constituency, with a particular focus on the road at Mawpat.
Hek, who is also a Cabinet minister, held a meeting with senior officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) and directed them to expedite the repair of the roads, many of which have worsened due to the extended monsoon season.
Additionally, Hek announced that the beautification project at Polo will be revived. He noted that while work on the project is ongoing, the contractor’s progress has been slow, and directions will be given to expedite the work.
