Members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Meghalaya State Branch, distribute relief items to flood victims in South Garo Hills. The team under the chairmanship of RO Wallang, IFS (Rtd), and led by its general secretary, Andrew N Sawian, visited the district on October 11. The BDO of Chockpot collaborated in the initiatve, which saw distribution of items like rice, dal, soaps, edible oil, blanket, new clothes, kitchen sets, utensils etc.
