Condolence
Shillong Mukul Sangha, a Shillong-based literary socio-cultural organisation, has condoled the demise of Shashi Phukan, the founder-editor of Assamese magazine, Bismoi. A meeting of the Sangha was also held on Friday during which the members recalled Phukan’s contribution. “Members prayed for the eternal repose of departed soul and expressed condolence to the bereaved family,” a statement in this regard said.
