Shillong, Nov 10: Ryntih FC has taken decisive action against corruption within the club, terminating the contract of a player due to “strong suspicions” of involvement in match-fixing.
While the club has not publicly named the player, the termination was effective immediately.
This decision comes on the heels of Ryntih’s 3-0 defeat to Shillong Lajong FC in the Shillong Premier League, marking their third loss in four games this season.
The club emphasized its commitment to fair play, transparency, and integrity, vowing to fully cooperate with relevant authorities in the investigation.
