AI, machine learning internship for KV Upper Shillong students

SHILLONG, Nov 18: A six-day hands-on internship programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) kicked off on Monday at Kendriya Vidyalaya, EAC, Upper Shillong, under the PM SHRI scheme. Organised in collaboration with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Shillong, the programme is tailored for 121 Class 8 students and aims to provide foundational skills in AI and ML.
The training includes five days of in-house sessions at the school and a concluding day of immersive learning at the NIELIT campus on November 23. Students are divided into three batches to ensure effective learning, and certificates will be awarded upon successful completion.
Principal Navina Kumar Srivastava spoke about the transformative role of AI and ML in education, highlighting their potential for personalized learning and fostering critical thinking. The programme is coordinated by Manish Trikha of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
