SHILLONG, Nov 19: As part of the 2024 Audit Week celebrations, the Office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, launched a new e-Pension Portal and an SMS notification service to streamline pension processes for state government employees.
The portal is live at https://epension.megonline.nic.in.
Later in the day, Principal Accountant General (A&E), CH Kharshiing, unveiled an SMS service to expedite the preparation of pension papers. The service will send monthly updates to retiring employees and their controlling offices, reducing delays and improving communication. Both initiatives are expected to significantly improve the pension authorisation process.
