Outreach prog
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), in collaboration with the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) Meghalaya will host an outreach programme on Atal Pension Yojana (APY) on December 5 from 10 am at The Courtyard by Marriott, Shillong. Chairman of PFRDA, Deepak Mohanty, along with senior officials of the authority will be present at the event along with top officials from leading banks across the Northeastern.

Raising Day
The 62nd Raising Day of the Civil Defence and Home Guards will be celebrated on December 6 at CTI Parade Ground, Mawdiangdiang, New Shillong, with Minister of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Comingone Ymbon, as the chief guest.

Mascot
Applications have been invited from interested candidates from West Jaintia Hills to submit a drawing and painting of the Mascot for Meghalaya Games 2025, which will be to be held in West Jaintia Hills. Theme for the Mascot should represent the flora, fauna and culture of Meghalaya. The Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills has directed that the applications must be submitted in Room No. 130 of the DC’s Office in Jowai by December 16. Cash prize and certificate will be awarded to the winner.

Office-bearers
The Dorbar Shnong Lachaumiere, elected its new officer-bearers during a general meeting held at All Saints Higher Secondary School Hall on November 30. During the general meeting Dr Aman War was elected as the new Rangbah Shnong of Lachaumiere, and Ballambok Wahlang as the new Deputy Rangbah Shnong. Orestar Jala was elected as the secretary and Raymus Wahlang as the new assistant secretary, while Buhphanglin Kharpuri was elected as the treasurer. The meeting also elected Casper Tariang as the Rangbah Dong of Block I, Apshai Kharpuri as Rangbah Dong of Block II, Elton Cliff Warjri as Rangbah Dong of Block III, L Iangrai as Rangbah Dong of Block IV and Wallambok Lyngdoh as

Rangbah Dong of Block V.
The Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives’ Union (CRU) Shillong District, organised a district conference at KRWO Office, Keating Road, wherein new office-bearers for the term 2024-2027 were elected in the presence of presiding officers Manoj Chakraborty and Joydeep Dey. The Secretary Report and Treasurer Report were also passed by the house and formed a New Office Bearers. The office-bearers are Partha Deb (president), Anup Bhattacharjee (vice president), Tapash Das (secretary), Ajoy Chanda (joint secretary), Prashanta Borah (treasurer), Tanushree Kuri (women’s convenor) and 16 other district committee members.
