EKH Cricket unveils concrete pitch in Mawphlang

Shilong, Dec 15: In a significant boost to cricket infrastructure in rural Meghalaya, the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association inaugurated a new concrete pitch in Mawphlang on Saturday.
The event witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, including Dhruva Thakuria, Honorary Treasurer of the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA), Lamphrang Blah, MDC, and M. Dohling, Rangbah Shnong of Mawphlang.
The initiative was widely praised by the attendees, who lauded the association’s efforts in expanding cricket infrastructure to rural areas. Dhruva Thakuria commended the development, emphasizing that such projects are instrumental in nurturing local talent and providing budding players with opportunities to excel.
The new concrete pitch is expected to play a crucial role in encouraging young players from Mawphlang and surrounding areas to pursue the sport professionally.
