Conviction
The Court of Special Judge POCSO, East Jaintia Hills, has sentenced one Rajesh Lamin to 15 years of imprisonment for an offence under Section 4 of the POCSO Act and imposed a fine on him of Rs 15,000. Earlier, a case against him was registered with Khliehriat Women Police Station and the investigation was entrusted to WPSI SKharsati, who filed the charge sheet subsequently leading to the trial and conviction of the accused.
