Reshuffle in Police department

SHILLONG, Dec 19: In a major reshuffle in the Police department, the state government on Thursday appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police Vivek Syiem as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of East Khasi Hills.
Raghvendra Kumar MG, DIG (Western Range), Tura has been posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, Shillong against the existing vacancy. Jerry FK Marak and Jubi G Momin have been promoted to officiate as Deputy Inspector General of Police of the Super Time Scale in the Level 13A in the Pay Matrix with effect from January 1, 2025. Jerry FK Marak, Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre, West Garo Hills, has been posted as the DIG (WR), Tura while Jubi G Momin, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Shillong, has been appointed as DIG (Administration), Shillong against the existing vacancy. Vivekananda Singh and Sylvester Nongtnger have been promoted to officiate in the selection grade of the senior scale in the level 13 in the Pay Matrix with effect from January 1, 2025.
Vivekananda Singh has been re-designated as senior SP of Ri-Bhoi while East Khasi Hills SP, Sylvester Nongtnger has been posted as senior SP, TAP, Shillong against the existing vacancy.
Jagpal Singh Dhanoa will continue as the SP of ANTF while Shailendra Bamaniya is allowed to continue as SP of South Garo Hills.
Six IPS officers – Naman Kumar, Dewansh Pandey, Ishan Gupta, Ashish, Dheeraj Yadav and Hari Prasanth MR – are promoted to officiate in the senior time scale of the senior scale in the level 11 in the Pay Matrix with effect from January 1, 2025.
Naman Kumar, SDPO of Amlarem is posted as the Additional SP of West Khasi Hills District against the existing vacancy. Ishan Gupta, SDPO of Dadenggre is posted as Additional SP of West Jaintia Hills. Ashish, SDPO of Shillong Sadar is posted as Additional SP of East Khasi Hills.
Dheeraj Yadav, Assistant Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion is posted as Additional SP, SF-10. Hari Prasanth MR, Assistant Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre, West Garo Hills is posted as Additional SP, CBPS (Eastern Range), Shillong.
Maxwell B Syiem, SP, Eastern West Khasi Hills is transferred and posted as SP, Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Shillong.
GD Kharwanlang, SP, South West Khasi Hills is transferred and posted as SP, Anti-Terror Squad against the existing vacancy.
Billy Graham Marak, SP of Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Tura is transferred and posted as the Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion, West Garo Hills.
Rupam R Marak, Commandant of 4th MLP Battalion, Sohpian is transferred and posted as the SP, Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Tura.
Banraplang Jyrwa, Additional SP, Ri-Bhoi has been posted as SP of South West Khasi Hills.
Geffry Waemhok Lyngdoh has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police (L&O).
Herbert Pyniaid Kharkongor, Deputy Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion is transferred and posted as SP, SCRB against the existing vacancy.
Shabbir Sayeed Dkhar, Additional SP, SF-10 is transferred and posted as Administrative Officer, Directorate of Prosecution, against the existing vacancy.
VD Sangahiwot Rymbai, Additional SP, West Jaintia Hills is transferred and posted as the Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion. Dangsan Khyriem, Additional SP, CBPS, Eastern Range is transferred and posted as SP of Eastern West Khasi Hills.
