SHILLONG, Jan 12: Raising alarm over a clash of dates, North Shillong VPP MLA Adelbert Nongrum has called on the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) to postpone the Junior Divisional Accountant (JDA) written examination scheduled for January 18.
Nongrum pointed out that the JDA examination coincides with the recruitment exams for Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), SSF Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau. These exams, organised by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), are also set to take place on the same day.
Highlighting the clash, Nongrum emphasised the need to reschedule the JDA exam to accommodate the thousands of local youth who have applied for both the MPSC and SSC vacancies. He noted that the SSC had announced its examination date as early as November 18, 2024.
