Two women die in road mishap

SHILLONG, Jan 13: Two women lost their lives in a road accident on Saturday night when their vehicle rammed into a truck parked on the roadside at Wahlakhlaw village near Mairang, Eastern West Khasi Hills.
Police said the driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Shillong for treatment. The deceased were identified as Bidaris Lyngdoh Lyngkhoi (50) from Pyndengumiong and Wantilin Kurbah (32) from Ksehkohmoit. Their funeral took place on Monday.
