Elimonhunlang Mary Jyrwa has been awarded PhD for her thesis entitled ‘Gender Relations in the Khasi-Jaintia Society: Pre-Colonial to Colonial Period’. She is the daughter of Dr BM Jyrwa and OP Lytand, and is currently working under the supervision of Prof. Amena N Passah

Calvin Donkupar Warjri has been awarded PhD in Zoology for his thesis ‘Studies on effects of heavy metals on metallothionein gene expression in common carp, Cyprinus carpio L’, which he completed under the supervision of Prof. Srimoyee Ghosh, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong. He is a resident of Mawpun, Golf Links, and son of Dominica Warjri and (Late) Oracle Ton Gatphoh, and the husband of Fatima Shandi Lamin.
