Man murders pregnant wife
Hyderabad, Jan 21: A 21-year-old man allegedly murdered his pregnant wife, suspecting her fidelity, and the foetus came out from the womb in the gruesome incident, police said on Tuesday. On January 16, the accused sat on his wife’s stomach when she was sleeping at their house and strangled her to death, using a pillow, and as a result foetus came out from the womb, they said. The woman was in seventh month of pregnancy. (PTI)
Woman throws her 2 toddlers off balcony
Daman, Jan 21: A woman was arrested for allegedly killing her two toddler sons by flinging them off the fourth floor of a building and trying to commit suicide in Daman district, police said on Tuesday. The incident was triggered by a domestic dispute between the woman and her husband, residents of Dalwada in the Nani Daman locality, police said. The Daman Police stated that a call was received from the Moti Daman community health centre late Monday night about two children falling off the fourth floor of a building. The children were declared dead at the health centre. (PTI)
Man thrashes one-year-old stepdaughter to death
Kota, Jan 21: A man allegedly thrashed and choked his one-year-old stepdaughter to death in Kota on Monday night and fled from the spot on Tuesday, police said. He was angry that the baby’s cries were disturbing his sleep, they said. When the baby did not get up on Tuesday morning, her mother took her to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. According to police, the deceased baby’s mother had left her first husband and was living with accused Jittu, a daily wage labourer in the city. He frequently got irritated at her crying. The deceased baby bore marks of thrashing on her lips, cheeks and feet. (AP)
Pregnant cow beheaded, five taken into police custody
Uttara Kannada, Jan 21: Five individuals were taken into custody on Tuesday in connection with a case involving the gruesome beheading of a pregnant cow, mutilation of its calf, and the removal of its legs, police said. The perpetrators reportedly took away the cow’s body, leaving behind its head, legs, and calf, according to police. The incident occurred in Kondakuli, Salkodu village, Honnavara Taluk, Uttara Kannada district. This incident follows recent attacks on cows in Karnataka, including the severing of the udders of three cows in Bengaluru, and the injury of a cow’s tail in the temple town of Nanjangud, Mysuru.
