NCC cadets from Don Bosco College Tura do region proud

TURA, Jan 28: In a moment of pride for one of the most famed colleges in Meghalaya, NCC cadets from Don Bosco College, Tura, won at least 7 medals in the recently concluded Meghalaya Games. The 6th edition of the Games, which concluded last week on Saturday, saw East Khasi Hills coming up trumps and by a long margin. However, NCC cadets from Don Bosco College brought much cheer to West Garo Hills, which stood 6th in the overall standings.
JUOP Tengsilchi R Marak was a multiple medal winner, taking the gold in the 50 M rifle in shooting before two more bronze medals (10m rifle women and 10m air rifle mixed team). In wrestling, CQMS Ronibel N. Sangma won bronze medal in women freestyle wrestling individual, LCPL Rashme D Marak took the bronze medal in women freestyle wrestling individual and LCPL Nochambe Ch. Marak also won bronze in women freestyle wrestling individual.
Further, in volleyball, cadet Kakimchi S Sangma won the bronze medal in the women’s volleyball team event.
