SHILLONG, Feb 7: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Friday conducted an entrance test for UPSC aspirants at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU).
Candidates who secure top ranks in the test will be selected for a fully funded scholarship for UPSC-CSE coaching in the national capital.
KSU assistant education secretary, Richest Malngiang, informed that over 100 aspirants had applied for the test, which was held at the cluster classroom of NEHU.
He stated that selected students would have the opportunity to receive free coaching in Delhi at institutions partnered with KSU.
According to Malngiang, the initiative was taken because KSU is concerned that no Khasi candidate has cleared the UPSC examinations in the past 11 to 12 years.
It may be mentioned that the results for the selection test will be announced in the coming days.
