Two held for assaulting wine shop owner

TURA, Feb 14: Two persons were arrested by the South West Garo Hills police for their alleged involvement in assaulting a wine shop owner after the latter prevented their attempt to make away with free alcohol at Harigaon market on Thursday night
The arrest was made after the victim Manob Ch Marak of Bolganggre village filed an FIR against Uttam Arengh of Sangkaregre, and Darmen of Harigaon village.
According to the FIR, the two accused allegedly attacked the victim with a broken bottle when he resisted their attempts to take away free liquor, leading to injuries to his head and stomach.
Meanwhile, the victim was taken to Garobadha PHC for treatment while both the accused have been arrested and a case filed against them.
