Rakkam inspects College of Science, Commerce at Mawphlang

SHILLONG, Feb 27: Education Minister Rakkam Sangma carried out an official inspection of the College of Science and Commerce in Mawphlang on Thursday, accompanied by a team of senior officials from various departments, and instructed for them to meet the deadline for the work to be completed, with the academic session slated to begin by May or June of this year.
The inspection team included the Director of the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE), the Chief Engineer of PWD (B), the Joint Director of DHTE, the Executive Engineer of PWD, the Sub-Divisional Officer of PHE, and representatives from the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL).
During the visit, Sangma toured the campus, taking a close look at the college’s infrastructure and facilities. The goal of the inspection was to evaluate the current condition of the college and pinpoint areas in need of improvement, particularly with regard to educational resources and infrastructural upgrades.
