Armed man shot by Secret Service near White House
Washington, March 9: An armed man believed to be travelling from Indiana was shot by US Secret Service agents near the White House after a confrontation early Sunday, according to authorities. No one else was injured in the shooting that happened around midnight about a block from the White House, according to a Secret Service statement. President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of the shooting. The Secret Service received information from local police about an alleged “suicidal individual” who was travelling from Indiana and found the man’s car and a person matching his description nearby. “As officers approached, the individual brandished a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued, during which shots were fired by our personnel,” the Secret Service said in a statement. Turkish official vows to enforce controversial law to cull stray dogs
Istanbul, March 9: Turkiye’s interior minister on Sunday pledged to fully apply a law to remove millions of stray dogs from the streets in the wake of the death of a 2-year-old girl. The legislation – labelled the “massacre law” by animal welfare groups – was passed by parliament last summer but has been only partially implemented, if at all, by municipal authorities. Rana El Selci died after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Konya, central Turkey, on Friday. Her death sparked fresh outcry about the 4 million stray dogs that the government estimates roam Turkey’s streets and rural areas. (AP)

A death certificate was also provided to mislead the court. When contacted for his response, Dr. Liaquat declined to comment on the claims regarding his supposed death. (PTI)
