Baghmara, March 12: Social activist, Greneth Sangma has filed a complaint with the SP of South Garo Hills (SGH) over what he stated was an incomplete market shed in the border village of Sibbari, about 28 kms from the district headquarter of Baghmara.
In his complaint, Sangma said that the market shed project fell under NEC through the DRDA and despite a complaint lodged earlier by one Wilban Sangma to the project director, DRDA in Jul 2024, no action has been initiated to complete the project. “…the contractor’s inaction has led to undue hardships for residents. I strongly demand a thorough investigation to determine the reason for the delay as well as if there has been misappropriation of funds,” said Sangma.
He sought stern legal action against the contractor.
