SHILLONG, April 4: Authorities have confirmed that payments under the Umbrella Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students for the academic session 2023-2024 were successfully credited to the accounts of 13,608 beneficiaries on March 21, 2025, as per reports from the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
However, 13,719 students have yet to receive their scholarship payments due to issues relating to Aadhaar seeding with bank accounts.
To resolve this, an SMS was sent from the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) on March 19, 2025, urging affected students to check their Aadhaar-linking status with their respective banks.
It was also informed that the beneficiaries were given until April 4, 2025, to complete the necessary updates, after which payment files for those who have rectified their Aadhaar details will be processed through the NSP Payment Module.
A further delay has now arisen due to system maintenance on the NSP.
According to an official email from the NSP Delhi Team dated April 3, 2025, the portal will be temporarily unavailable from 5 pm on April 3, 2025, and is expected to resume full functionality by April 8. Pending payments will be re-initiated once the portal is operational.
Students awaiting their scholarships are advised to ensure their Aadhaar details are correctly linked to avoid further delays.
For any queries, they have been asked to contact authorities via email at [email protected] or reach out through the helpline numbers, 7005037347 or 9077574956.
