Unclaimed body
On March 21 at around 2:15 pm, one homeless man was found unconscious in a vacant small room near the transformer at Barik Point. He was immediately shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital, where medical authorities declared him brought dead. Following post-mortem, his body has been kept at the hospital morgue for identification and claim, while a case has been registered at Shillong Sadar Police Station. According to the police, the deceased was approximately 40-50 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a swarthy complexion, oval face, black eyes and a thin moustache. He was found wearing a pair of grey-coloured checkered trousers, with no upper-body clothing or footwear. Meanwhile, relatives or acquaintances have been asked to visit Shillong Civil Hospital and contact 03642224400 or 03642222214 for identification and claim.
