U-16 GIRLS INTER SCHOOL CUM CLUSTER CRICKET

Shillong, April 16: The second match of the Benjamin Diengdoh Memorial U-16 Girls Inter-School cum Cluster Cricket Tournament 2025 saw a dominant performance by Mawsynram Cluster Girls, who registered a massive 153-run victory over Sohra Cluster Girls at the SAI Cricket Ground.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Mawsynram Cluster posted an imposing total of 173/7 in their allotted 20 overs. The star of the innings was Eliza Lyngdoh, who played a fluent knock of 61 off 44 deliveries, anchoring the innings with composure and confidence. Sohra’s Libashisha Khongngain was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with respectable figures of 2/24 in her 4-over spell.
In reply, Sohra Cluster crumbled under pressure and could only manage 24/6 in 10.3 overs before the match was called off due to time constraints, invoking the DLS method. Inroihame L Nonglait top-scored for Sohra with 4 runs off 18 balls. For Mawsynram, Sharaisuk Marpna produced a brilliant bowling performance, picking up 2 wickets for just 2 runs in 2 overs.
With a 153-run win via the DLS method, Mawsynram Cluster Girls marked their authority in the tournament.
