SHILLONG, April 23: The Department of Education has confirmed that payment files for 11,858 out of 13,719 beneficiaries have been successfully generated and submitted to the bank for processing of their scholarships.
However, 1,861 students are yet to receive their scholarships due to issues related to Aadhaar-bank account linkage discrepancies.
The department said an SMS alert was sent on April 22, urging students to complete the verification process within 15 days for the release of their dues.
