State delegation in Thailand for educational tour

SHILLONG, April 30: A 35-member delegation comprising senior administrators and public health experts from Meghalaya is currently on an educational tour at the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, Thailand. The programme, running from April 28 to May 3, 2025, aims to enhance understanding of public health policy and foster cross-border collaboration.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy, Paulomi Tripathi, attended the opening session and highlighted India’s ongoing efforts to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare. She underscored the importance of strengthening ties between Thailand and the Northeastern region, noting that such initiatives would deepen mutual engagement in the health sector under the broader Strategic Partnership framework.
