Unclaimed body
The Public Relations Officer, NEIGRIHMS, has informed that one Shanta Bahadur (70) passed away on February 6 at the hospital, and his body is kept in the mortuary of the Department of Forensic Medicine. In this regard, all concerned have been asked to claim the body within 48 hours, failing which the same would be utilised for academic purposes as per Meghalaya Anatomical Act, 2017. “To claim the body, relatives are to contact Dr. Daunipaia Slong, Additional Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, NEIGRIHMS, at 9863957224 or visit the mortuary of NEIGRIHMS,” a statement here said.

Aadhaar seeding
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (S), in-charge, Sohra Civil Subdivision, has informed all beneficiaries under NFSA to complete Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC by June 30, 2025. It also warned that following the end of the deadline, no ration will be provided to beneficiaries who have not completed the aforesaid process.

World Red Cross Day will be celebrated at 11 am on May 8 at Raj Bhavan Durbar Hall, Shillong. Governor CH Vijayashankar, who is also the president of Indian Red Cross Society, Meghalaya Branch, will attend the event as the chief guest.
