Farewell
The funeral of Apolinaris Sylliang (affectionately known as ‘Bah Khynnah’) was held on May 4 (Sunday), during which speeches were given by Geoff Preslee Marbaniang, office secretary of KJLU Central Body, and by Balajied Blah’s son. A speech was also delivered by James Sylliang, a close friend and companion of Sylliang, recalling the many times they worked and spent time together. A condolence message from the Hynniewtrep National People Federation (HNPF) Central Body Shillong was read out, signed by the general secretary Spellmon Shilliangam and president Ronnie M Rani. Gratitude was expressed by James Sylliang to everyone who attended and participated in the final rites.
