SHILLONG, May 26: Tura MP Saleng Sangma on Monday took serious note of a leaking school building in East Garo Hills, raising concerns about the safety of students. He pointed out that the building of Dambo Reserve UP School was leaking, posing risk to the students.
According to Sangma, the roof was in such poor condition that there were fears it could collapse at any moment. He urged the state authorities to take immediate action and address the issue.
Despite the unsafe condition of the building, schoolteachers remained committed to their duties, and students continued their studies outside the school premises.
