Centenary prog
The Meghalaya Hindu Mission Centenary Celebration Committee has chalked out a series of programmes to commemorate the milestone. In the first phase, 100 saplings will be planted in the compound of Hindu Mission in Mawprem on Thursday in collaboration with Meghalaya Hindu Mission School. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Meghalaya, RS Gill, has agreed to be the chief guest, while William Carey University Vice Chancellor Soma Bhowmick will be the guest of honour.
Eid prayers
Muslims of Shillong will hold Eid-ul-Azha prayers at Laban Eid-Gah Field at 9 am on Saturday. The prayer will be led by Janab Hafiz Shakib Nongrum Sb, Imam of Madina Masjid, Eid-Gah, Laban.
