SHILLONG, June 14: A total of 1,681 out of 3,869 candidates — which translates to nearly half of the state’s candidates — from Meghalaya have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – NEET (UG) 2025, the results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday.
According to the results, 4,068 candidates from Meghalaya had registered for the entrance exam, of which 3,869 appeared and 1,681 qualified.
In comparison, for NEET (UG) 2024, a total of 4,009 candidates from the state had registered, 3,815 appeared, and 1,849 qualified.
This year, the NTA conducted NEET (UG) 2025 for over 22 lakh candidates across 5,468 centres in 552 cities across India and 14 cities abroad on May 4, 2025.
Yoonis Lyngdoh topped the state merit list with a percentile score of 99.4153397 and secured an all-India NEET rank of 12,899.
