Theft
Kamleshwar Singh lodged a complaint that on July 1, unknown miscreant(s) stole his scooter (ML-05Z-4105) from Nongmensong, Shillong.
Tara Mia, manager at one company, lodged a complaint that on June 27 around noon, four drivers, viz. Rongseng P Marak, Chituram Tamuli, Basanta Barman alias Moon and Surajit Boro, stole 100 litres of diesel from the company and sold to one Dhrama Prasad Limbu alias Som and his wife at Borsora Market area, South West Khasi Hills.
Prativa Das lodged a complaint that on July 2 morning, she found that unknown miscreant(s) stole one bag containing several gold ornaments, Rs. 1,500 in cash and one mobile phone from her residence at Them Marwet, Ri-Bhoi.
Pushparaj M Sharma lodged a complaint that on June 5 night, unknown miscreant(s) stole his scooter (23BH 2754L) from EF Shopping complex at Mawlai Kynton Massar, Block-D, Shillong.
Gautam Pathak lodged a complaint that on July 1, between 2.30 am and 3.30 am, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05AG-6656), which was parked near Narsingh Akhara Temple, Qualapatty, Shillong.
Block Project Manager lodged a complaint that on June 30, unknown miscreant(s) stole three tablets from the office building at Zikzak, South West Garo Hills.

Arson
On July 1 morning, one Hahep Marak of Chibra village under Pillangkata Outpost, Ri-Bhoi, informed Police that on July 1 around 2 am, unknown miscreant(s) set ablaze two excavator machines belonging to two individuals, viz. Bapan Baishya and Anil Pangcho, respectively, which were rented by him and one Momin Borah for stone excavation activities in the area.

Assault
A woman from a village in South Garo Hills lodged a complaint that two persons assaulted her, causing grievous injuries to her and also threatened to banish her and her family members from the village.

Fraudulent certificates
D Kharshiing lodged a complaint that on June 12, during verification process, Permanent Residential Certificates of three persons, viz. Subham Singh, Rangan Kumar and Kushagra Rajpoot, claiming to be residents of Lumkseh, Shillong, submitted for the posts of Constable in CRPF, were found to be fake.

Body recovered
Hilarius Basaiawmoit lodged a complaint that on July 2, the body of his nephew, viz. Henry Basaiawmoit (42) was recovered from a jungle near Mairangbah, Mairang-Laitdom, Eastern West Khasi Hills (EWKH). The complainant stated that Henry reportedly went missing from home at Pyndengumiong, EWKH, since June 29. The complainant suspected that his nephew might have been murdered.

Apprehension
Coy Commander, BSF, BOP Dawki, West Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint that on July 1, BSF personnel apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, viz. Mehtab Udding (42) and Ziaur Rahman (34) from Dawki area, West Jaintia Hills, and also recovered UK passport from their possession, while they were illegally entering into Indian territory from Bangladesh without valid documents.
Coy-Commander, Ad hoc C-1, Coy-193 Bn., BSF, BOP Gomaghat, South West Khasi Hills, lodged a complaint that on June 30, BSF personnel apprehended one suspected Bangladeshi national, viz. Biswas Makhan from Nolikata, South West Khasi Hills. During enquiry, it transpired that the intruder was planning to return to Bangladesh from Shillong without valid documents, etc.

Trespass
Elibon Marbañiang lodged a complaint that on June 30 around 3.10, she noticed that some unidentified individuals had illegally trespassed and carried out cultivation activities in her plot of land (disputed land) at Mairung Pdeng village, Ri-Bhoi. Later, on seeing that the complainant was taking photographs and video recording of the activities, the trespassers approached her aggressively, attacked her and forcibly snatched away her mobile phone. Investigation into the incident is, meanwhile, under way.

Fraud
Subhashish Dev lodged a complaint against his co-employee (store keeper), viz. Pankaj Kumar Singh, who went absent from his duty since June 18 without prior notice/approval. The complainant further stated that during internal verification of accounts and procurement records, they found that Pankaj Kumar Singh did not submit the bills and vouchers for various transactions and those funds have been transferred to third parties, including his father.

Drugs seized
On July 2 around 11 am, police intercepted one vehicle (ML-04B-9703) driven by one Kabir Uddin Mazumdar at Umtyra NH-06, East Jaintia Hills, and recovered/seized fourteen soap boxes containing 160.36 grams of suspected heroin from his possession. Police arrested the accused.
