ISLAMABAD/LAHORE, July 6: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly criticized PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for suggesting that Pakistan could extradite individuals like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar to India as part of a broader peace dialogue.
PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram called Bilawal an “immature political child” and accused him of harming Pakistan’s national security narrative and foreign policy legacy.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Bilawal said extradition could happen if India cooperates legally, including by providing evidence and testimony.
He noted Saeed is already jailed in Pakistan and suggested Azhar may be in Afghanistan. Hafiz Saeed’s son, Talha Saeed, also condemned the remarks, calling them against national interest and sovereignty, and accused Bilawal of promoting the enemy’s narrative. (PTI)
