MP man moves CM Helpline for getting one laddoo at I-Day event!

Bhind, Aug 21: A man from Bhind in Madhya Pradesh lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister’s Helpline for getting just one laddoo instead of two in a packet as part of Independence Day celebrations. Officials on Thursday said Kamlesh Kushwaha, aggrieved over not getting the customary two laddoos during the Independence Day event in Naudha village, lodged the complaint against the sarpanch and secretary. After the complaint, one kilogram of laddoos was bought for further distribution, but Kushwaha refused to accept it, said panchayat secretary Ravindra Shrivastava. “Kushwaha is the in habit of doing such things. He has so far filed 107 complaints with the CM Helpline on various issues,” Shrivastava added. (PTI)

4 dead, 2 critical after gas leak at Mumbai firm

Mumbai, Aug 21:
At least four workers were killed and two others seriously affected after inhalation of nitrogen gas that leaked at a pharmaceutical company in Tarapur MIDC of Maharashtra’s Palghar district, officials said on Thursday. The incident occurred in the afternoon at Medley Pharma located in the industrial area of Boisar, around 130 km from here, they said. Chief of Palghar district disaster management cell, Vivekanand Kadam, said that between 2.30 pm and 3 pm, nitrogen gas in one of the units of the company leaked, affecting the staff working there. “Six workers were rushed to the hospital, where four of them died around 6.15 pm,” he said. Two others were admitted to the ICU at a local hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment, he said. (PTI)
