SHILLONG, Aug 26: A man has been sentenced to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment by a Special POCSO Court in Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills, after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor.
In addition to the prison term, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on him.
The case, registered under Khliehriat Women Police Station Case, was investigated by Woman Police Sub-Inspector L Siangshai, who submitted the charge sheet on October 3, 2023.
