Shillong, Sep 14: The 4th Meghalaya Open Table Tennis Cash Prize Tournament 2025 concluded with exciting performances across all categories, as young and seasoned paddlers battled it out for top honours.
In the men’s singles, Bankit Mukhim emerged champion, while Elvis Ranee settled for the runner-up spot.
The women’s singles title went to Arti Kharshiing, with Wansuk Myrchiang finishing second.
The youth boys’ singles crown was claimed by Niraj Gurung, defeating Bankit Mukhim in the final. In the youth girls’ singles, Wansuk Myrchiang got the better of Phidalyne Suchiang.
Among the junior categories, Arbin Kharsati bagged the boys’ singles title, while Banshanlang Ryntathiang finished runner-up. In the girls’ singles, Cinyuka Kharkongor overcame Phidalyne Suchiang to take the gold.The sub-junior section saw Mebankit Rymbai dominate the boys’ singles, beating Jwanpailang Khonglam, whereas Aillawanbok Kharkongor triumphed over Derrisa Nongkhlaw in the girls’ singles final.
In the cadet boys’ singles, Aiborlang Kharkongor took top honours, while Jwanpailang Khonglam was runner-up.
The cadet girls’ singles crown went to Derrisa Nongkhlaw, who defeated Enisha Tiwari.
The youngest category, mini-cadet, was equally competitive with Deniro Khyriem and Agustin Siangshai finishing champion and runner-up in the boys’ singles, while Pinemika Tiwari and Rinisha Marwein were the top two in the girls’ singles.
