Chief Secy takes stock of ops at food testing lab

SHILLONG, Oct 9: Chief Secretary Shakil P Ahammed reviewed the operations of the State Food Testing Laboratory under the Commissionerate of Food Safety, Meghalaya.
During his visit to the laboratory, the chief secretary took stock of the facility’s infrastructure and testing capabilities, and interacted with officials to discuss ongoing efforts to strengthen food safety mechanisms in Meghalaya.
The laboratory, which holds NABL accreditation and is recognised by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), plays a vital role in ensuring food quality and public health standards in the state.
