SHILLONG, Oct 9: Former Cabinet Minister AL Hek has been appointed as the Chairman of the State Government Programme Implementation and Monitoring Committee (SGPI&MC).
According to a notification issued here, the appointment comes under Category “A+” and will be effective from the date of assumption of charge until further orders.
It may be recalled that Hek was among the nine ministers dropped from the State Cabinet last month.
Following that, several former ministers have been appointed as chairpersons of various committees or as advisers to different departments and programmes.
