AOC-in-C bats for boost to IAF’s operational capabilities

SHILLONG, Jan 4: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal Surat Singh, has emphasised the importance of integrating air power to enhance the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force (IAF) while underscoring the need for greater synergy with other services to ensure seamless operations in the eastern region.
The emphasis was laid during the EAC Commanders’ Conclave 2026, an apex-level meeting of the IAF in the eastern sector, held at Headquarters Eastern Air Command here from January 2 to January 3.
Addressing the Commanders, the AOC-in-C highlighted the need for a unified approach to counter emerging threats and challenges, and to maintain a high level of readiness to respond to any situation.
He also praised the Commanders for their crucial roles in strengthening the operational capabilities of the IAF.
“The conclave provided a valuable platform for Commanders to engage in constructive dialogue and share best practices,” a statement here said.
