Committee
The Meghalaya government has constituted a committee for drafting the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for standardising the functioning of rehabilitation centres in Meghalaya. The chairman of the committee is Mission Director, DREAM, FG Kharshiing, and 12 other members.
Foundation day
The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Shillong, will organise an open house programme on the occasion of its 151st Foundation Day at its office premises in Upper Shillong on Thursday. IMD officers will brief participants on the role of IMD in weather forecasting, climate services, and disaster risk reduction. Live demonstrations of meteorological instruments and interactive sessions will also be part of the programme.
