SHILLONG, Jan 29: The Delhi unit of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Thursday assisted a youth from Shillong who collapsed in the national capital, ensuring he received urgent medical care and safe shelter.
Upon learning of the incident, KSU members rushed to the spot to take charge of the boy’s safety. Although his family had already filed an FIR, police reportedly entrusted the matter to the Union members upon their arrival.
The KSU team moved the boy to a nearby hospital for treatment. Following his discharge, he was accommodated at Meghalaya House, where he is currently staying until his family arrives from Shillong to escort him home.
KSU Delhi Unit president Marbiang Khongwir thanked Dr Arshan Khongwir for his assistance at the hospital, noting that his help was vital in ensuring the youth received proper care. The Union reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community members in times of distress.
