11-yr-old Shelevah wins Sur Kynud Season 4

SHILLONG, March 2: Eleven-year-old Shelevah N Jyrwa from Laimer, Upper Shillong, was crowned the winner of Sur Kynud Season 4 at the grand finale held on Thursday at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah.
Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television (DBMNTV) under the leadership of Director Fr. Michael Makri, the competition concluded with eight finalists vying for the top prize of Rs 1 lakh.
The event was attended by East Shillong MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh, who praised the Salesians for their commitment to youth development. “It is through such competitions that young people learn to work hard and strive toward their goals,” she said. Other dignitaries present included Fr. Fidel Orendain, General Councillor from Rome, and Fr. John Zosiama, Provincial of the Shillong Province.
Fr. Michael Makri attributed the program’s success to the support of the state government, donors, and parents. Throughout the season, contestants received systematic training from coaches Lapdiang and Kheiñkor to develop their musical talents.
